Chairman Rupert Murdoch's style of journalism would damage the integrity of Dow Jones's publications... which includes The Standard-Times in New Bedford and The Cape Cod Times in Hyannis The Bancroft family and its advisers headed into the final hours of deliberations over the fate of Dow Jones & Co. Sunday amid heated jockeying and negotiating that threatened to create a rift between the company's board and some family advisers, according to people familiar with the matter. Still, the company's fate remained too close to call, these people said. Michael B. Conservancy to hold holiday sale Saturday
The Howard County Conservancy will hold its holiday sale, with nature crafts and demonstrations, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at its headquarters, Mount Pleasant Farm, 10520 Old Frederick Road, Woodstock. Master gardeners will demonstrate how to make topiary balls, wreaths and other natural holiday decorations out of ma- terials from the woods, garden and produce market. Included are whimsical creatures made from cones, pods and seed heads.
Pottery, soaps and candles, jewelry, nature and gardening books, children's books and puppets will be for sale.

Grand Theft Auto 4 Gameplay Preview
The biggest, most controversial game of 2007 instantly became the biggest, most controversial game of 2008 last Summer when Take 2 and Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto 4 would be delayed from its planned Fall release to sometime the following year. People pretty much flipped. Stocks tanked, the industry reeled and game developers around the globe cheered as their holiday releases were not going to be overshadowed by Rockstar's criminal element. I was actually scheduled to see GTA 4 right before the announcement, only to be turned away a day before, citing internal issues. It's been almost half a year since then and Rockstar is finally opening back up, allowing journalists access to the first true HD, online-capable entry in the series.
